Miller Motte College Class of 2011 Graduation

A few months ago I was asked to help the Miller Motte College of Wilmington, North Carolina's Class of 2011 capture their special moment! In July I made the trip back home and headed to the Wilmington Convention Center to set up for headshots of the graduates. Let me just say how gorgeous the center is! The Convention Center was recently built and breath taking right on the Cape Fear River! I even set up the studio at the back of the building so students wouldn't miss the view.

Overall, the graduation for Miller Motte College's Class of 2011 was moving & greatly done! Capturing the moment for the students was a great honour and I am very thankful for the chance to do this event!

Congratulations Class of 2011! You've done it!

Kent & Samantha- Anniversary

Kent's a laid back & goofy kind of guy. Samantha's a vibrant & kind young lady. The two of them make for one awesome couple! I had originally met the couple in Wilmington, NC and within the same time I moved 3 hours to Greensboro, NC and the couple moved just an hour from me in Raleigh, NC! It's not like Kent to make elaborate romantic gestures but this year for the couples 4 year anniversary, he surprised Samantha with a photoshoot! The two made the trip from Raleigh to Greensboro and we first headed to the Greensboro Botanical Gardens! Boy, is it summer time out there! We enjoyed the gardens for as long as we could, but after capturing some great shots, we decided to pile back in the car and head to downtown Greensboro to grab a quick bite, chug back some water, and continue the photoshoot there!

Penny Slayton

Recently I announced that I would be moving Lady Red Images from Wilmington to Greensboro, NC and we are officially set up! This past Sunday we booked our first photoshoot since relocating! Brenna Slayton is a co-worker of mine whose been looking to have some images shot of her four legged daughter, Penny.

We set up at Northeast Park and let Penny have her freedom! She loved running up and down the trails, checking out the lakes, all while I snapped away! We had a great a time and really enjoyed the 70 degree weather, much better from the 40 degree weather we've been having! You can really tell that Spring is in the air now and it's a great time for our furry friends to get out and explore- so that's exactly what we did!

Elizabeth & Jacob + Olivia & Joshua

Elizabeth & Olivia Barger are sisters that I first met back high school! One day Elizabeth contacted me about capturing engagement images of her and fiance, Jacob Kendall. Shortly after, Olivia contacted me wanting to capture images with her boyfriend, Joshua Lee. Keeping it all in the family, we made plans to meet up! Let me tell you, this was a crazy adventure for all of us! For those living in Wilmington, you know first hand not to trust the weather man. The first day we had scheduled shooting ended up being rained out! We ventured to Hanover Stables to examine our surroundings but had to call it a day when we realized it was just too rainy and muddy. We decided to give it a shot the next day when the rain was supposed to pass. Well thank you mother nature, you made it beautiful and sunny in the morning, but rainy for the afternoon when we were scheduled to shoot! This time we decided to skip out on the stable and head to the Burgaw Train Station and see what was around. Luckily for us there were a few covered spots and we were able to get some great images!

Moczo Family Holiday Portraits

Let me just start off by saying that Nathanial Moczo is growing way too quickly! Ive been photographing the Moczo family and Nathanial since he was still inside Emily's belly! He's such a little firecracker, loves to dance, a little lovebug and so curious to know everything! Yesterday I set up the studio and Nathanial just wasn't having it. He wanted to run around and play with his trucks and dance to his favourite television shows. Even so, we managed to get some pretty cute shots and show off his spunk and his curiousness!

Nichole Hale Studio Shoot

Nichole Hale is the Assistant Photographer for Lady Red Images, who assists me on various photoshoots, but just like the client's we photograph, sometimes we like to be in front of the camera as well! For October, it's been awfully hot in Wilmington and our most recent rain was very needed, to say the least! This past Thursday just so happened to be another rainy day and Nichole contacted me to see if she could book a shoot to get some updated pictures. Now I should mention that Nichole is as laid back as can be, not a care in the world, a tank top and a hoodie kind of girl, who Ive been dying to get in a dress!! Well my begging finally drove her to it so we met at her house, set up the studio, and took some new images of Nichole in her gorgeous new black and white dress!
